It is my great pleasure to welcome you to Washington, D.C. for the 47th National Medical Convention of the National Arab American Medical Association (NAAMA). This year’s theme, “The Power of Our Past, the Promise of Our Future: Medicine, Culture, and Advocacy in Washington, D.C.,” reflects both our proud legacy and our vision for the future.
For more than 46 years, NAAMA has united Arab American healthcare professionals around education, service, and humanitarianism. Together, we have advanced excellence in medicine while extending compassion to those most in need. This convention continues that mission by offering a rich scientific program, valuable CME opportunities, poster presentations from emerging professionals, and community gatherings that celebrate both our achievements and our shared identity.
I extend my sincere thanks to our Convention Chair, Dr. Nasser Sitta, our dedicated Organizing Committee, volunteers, and supporters whose tireless efforts have brought this meeting to life. I also thank each of you for being here—your presence and participation strengthen NAAMA and help shape the future of our profession.

It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to Washington, DC for our 47th annual convention.
The NAAMA National Convention has long been a cornerstone event in our organization’s agenda, evolving into an annual professional and family tradition. This year, we aspire to further enrich your professional journey while creating lasting memories with colleagues, family, and friends.
Our program features world-renowned professors, distinguished physicians, and accomplished scientists. We trust that you will find great value in each session offered during the two-day scientific program.
We have carefully planned multiple events to foster member engagement while ensuring you receive the CME credits required. Additionally, two days of tours are available for families, along with an enjoyable river cruise on the Potomac River.
During the Gala, we will honor outstanding medical and community leaders and continue our tradition of celebrating our organization and its members. We are also pleased to introduce the new generation and support their path to future leadership within NAAMA.

In keeping with NAAMA’s mission of philanthropic and service activities, I'm thrilled to share with you that the NAAMA Foundation Board has chosen two worthy causes to support during our upcoming Foundation Night:
Eye Bank Association of America (EBBA): Establishing an eye bank in Syria to restore sight and hope.
Atlantic Health Relief (AHR) Restoring Sight Project: Performing 50 corneal transplants ($500 each) and 50 cataract surgeries ($300 each) to bring life-changing vision care to those in need.
Both organizations are reputable 501(c)(3) non-profits dedicated to making a difference.
During Foundation Night, we'll share more about these initiatives and their impact. Your generosity will help bring sight and hope to Syrians who've endured hardship. Let's come together to make a meaningful difference!

Join us in the heart of the nation’s capital for the 2025 NAAMA Annual Convention, a premier gathering of Arab American healthcare professionals dedicated to advancing medicine, empowering leadership, and strengthening community.
This convention centers around the powerful theme: "Uniting Arab American Healthcare Professionals to Educate, Inspire, and Lead." Through a dynamic lineup of keynote speakers, thought-provoking panels, and innovative workshops, we aim to foster collaboration across specialties, generations, and borders.
At the Park Hyatt Hotel in Georgetown this October 10th - 12th for a weekend full of exciting events and educational opportunities.
The NAAMA 2025 Convention Organizing Committee is a dedicated team of physicians, healthcare professionals, and community leaders based in the Washington, D.C. area. United by a shared commitment to excellence, representation, and service, the committee has worked diligently to curate a meaningful and impactful experience.
